ROCKLAND, Maine — A 35-year-old operations manager at the Staples in Rockland has been charged with stealing about $2,000 from the store.
Orrin Bimpson of Winslow was issued a summons last week on a charge of felony theft, according to Rockland Police Detective Sgt. Christopher Young.
Young said Wednesday that Bimpson is accused of creating false cash returns in a scheme to then pocket the money. The theft occurred from May through July, according to the officer.
Bimpson is scheduled to appear in Rockland District Court in January.
