PORTLAND, Maine — The National Weather Service says Maine and New Hampshire are expected to be spared the brunt of the big storm that’s being dubbed “Frankenstorm” because its arrival will coincide with Halloween.

Meteorologist Tom Hawley from the weather service office in Gray said Thursday that the latest track from national forecasters has Hurricane Sandy making landfall Tuesday morning in New Jersey.

Some of the earlier computer models had it coming into Maine and New Hampshire.

Hawley says Maine will still get plenty of rain and some wind, even if the eye of the storm passes far to the south. He also says there’s still a bit of uncertainty about the exact path.

      1. i remember the snow. after that it was mild until december or january hope it is the same this winter

          1. Awesome guys! I survived the” Storm of the Century” in Alabama of all places! 16 inches of snow and pink lightening!! I was glad to have Northern survival roots!

  1. Yawn.  A storm.  Imagine that.  Something the Government can’t protect you from.  Check your candles, flashlights, generators, inverters, etc. and make sure you have some great reading material on hand.

    1. Ahhh…I think to a degree the Government could protect us from some storms if they chose to stop trying to alter the weather patterns.

        1. Yes Dear, I’m afraid I am. You can find most of the links through YouTube.
Follow Chem Trails and Aerosol spraying ( aluminum particles released to reflect global warming effect) to begin.
But there is nothing we can do about it, the damage is done.

  2. I would not make such a bold statement as we are many days out and the exact track of the storm is not certain. I would advise people to keep an eye to the weather until this is past

  3. Well, I think it’s all a plot to give the stores a chance to make money selling all the bread, milk, and eggs from their shelves.  Probably people want to make French toast.
