WOODLAND – Roy W. King, 93, went to be with the Lord Oct. 30, 2012, at his home. Roy was born Oct. 5, 1919, in Perham, the son of Linneus and Edna (Roy) King.
He was a veteran who honorably served his country during World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Janice Vance and her husband, Charlie, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Roylene Davis and her husband, Doug Sr., of Clinton, Md.; his son, Timothy King of Woodland; five grandchildren, Doug Davis Jr. and his wife, Victoria, Wendy Zimmerman and her husband, Rian, Jessica Davis, Kristen Chlumsky and Danielle Vance; and eight great-grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie, Jade and Delaney Davis, Aalok and Crysania Zimmerman, and Cheinefl and Mykeal Chlumsky. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his loving wife, Serena F. Johnston King.
Friends and family may call 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at First Baptist Church, Perham, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Goupille officiating.
