SKOWHEGAN and WYTOPITLOCK – Henry Ray Pierce Sr., 66, died Nov. 3, 2012, at a Skowhegan nursing home. He was born March 27, 1946, in Wytopitlock, the son of Phillip and Lucille (Jellison) Pierce.
Henry was proud to be a veteran of the U.S. Army and was active in the Boy Scouts for many years. He enjoyed being a beekeeper for 17 years.
He is survived by two children, Henry Ray Pierce Jr. and his significant other, Nadine Heath, of Troy and Penny Shibles and her husband, Tim Hanson, of Winterport; a brother, Parker Pierce; a sister, Laura Romaine, both of Connecticut; four grandchildren, William Shibles and his wife, Brittney, Waylon Shibles, and Devon and Christopher Pierce; and his significant other, Theola Bickford of Skowhegan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings, Jean Austin, Howard Pierce, Robert Pierce and Roberta Pooler.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Wytopitlock Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Waite officiating. Interment will be at Pierce Family Cemetery, Glenwood.
