BANGOR and BREWER – Edna J. McEachern, 96, wife of the late Allyn “Bud” McEachern, died Nov. 5, 2012, at a Bangor health care center. She was born Oct. 31, 1916, in Manchester, N.H., daughter of Julian A. and Odile (Pinsonneault) Champagne.
Edna was very active in Noon Kiwanis Wives Club and was a member of the auxiliary of Bangor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She will be remembered as an avid bridge player, accomplished seamstress, knitter and cook. Edna and her late husband, Bud, truly enjoyed traveling with the Anah Shriners.
Surviving are five children, Lillian A. Zanchi and her husband, Angelo, of Bangor, Robert A. McEachern and his wife, Susan, of Lyman and Key West, Fla., Janet L. Nye and her husband, Richmond, of Escondido, Calif., Paul C. McEachern and his wife, Virginia, of Natick, Mass., and Steven A. McEachern and his wife, Susan, of Ellsworth; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Brown; brother-in-law, Clinton McEachern; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
