MILLINOCKET AND BOWDOINHAM – Elouise Edna Biggins Patchell, 88, wife of the late Norman Patchell, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at a Brunswick hospital. She was born April 27, 1924, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Carrie Louise (Argo) Biggins.
She lived in Millinocket for most of her life, and was a member of Millinocket Baptist Church for many years. Elouise loved camping and fishing, as well as singing in the church choir. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Elouise is survived by five children, Paul Patchell and his wife, Linda Cole, of Woodville, Gary Patchell and his wife, Anita, of Dresden, Gale Patchell of Clinton, Barbara Gray and her husband, Charles, of Brownville Junction, and Donna Doering and her husband, George, of Dresden; 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elouise is predeceased by her son, Norman Patchell Jr.; two brothers, Howard Biggins Jr. and Elwood Biggins; three sisters, Mable Davis, Elizabeth Page, who was her twin, and Ruth Blankenship.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 with the Rev.
