ORLAND – Greta (Hanscom) Randall, 79, wife of the late Warren W. Randall, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 27, 1933, in Enfield, the daughter of Cleve and Agatha (Stanhope) Hanscom.
Greta was a graduate of the Eastern Maine Medical Center nursing program, becoming a registered nurse in 1954, a career and profession that she loved. She enjoyed fishing and camping, especially vacation time spent at Duck Lake and the northern woods. Greta loved her weimerainers and German short hair dogs. During the last eight years she made many friends during her residency at Orono Commons.
She is survived by her three children, Scott Randall and his wife, Karen, of Dixmont, Susan Coffin and her husband, Richard, of Eddington and Grayson Randall and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Cary, N.C.; four grandchildren, Chuck Downes of Bangor, Nicole Wright of Holden, Michael Randall of Holly Springs, N.C., and Kevin Randall of York, Pa.; six great-grandchild; and one sister, Loreli Jenkins and her husband, George, of Enfield.
