LIMESTONE – Eva M. Willette, 90, joined her husband, Walter “Bernard” Willette, in heaven, Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at a Caribou nursing facility. She was born April 1, 1922, in Caswell, the daughter of Alex and Flavie (Lavoie) King.
Eva was educated in Caswell. Eva was a lifelong, dedicated communicant of Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. Eva enjoyed spending her time tending to her garden and flowers. She looked forward to her evening walks and could often be seen rocking in her chair on her front porch. She was a woman of strong faith, who dedicated her life to her children. Eva taught her children to be strong, loving and compassionate. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. “We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful mother to guide us through our journey in life. Thank you Mom, we love you and will miss you. You will be forever in our hearts.”
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willette was predeceased by her husband, Walter “Bernard” Willette Sr., in 1958; her loving son, Stanley M. Willette, in 2006; four brothers, Zavier, Ozime, George and Clifford King; and four sisters, Leona LaForge, Leda Dupre, Bertha Legasse and Ann King. She is survived by five sons, Walter B. “Junior” Willette Jr., Gordon J. Willette, both of Limestone, Lawrence J. Willette of Fort Fairfield, Daniel R. Willette and his wife, Ellen, of Randolph, Mass., and Gerald L. Willette and his wife, Becki, of North Berwick; five daughters, Theresa Jonscher of Bossier City, La., Rita Reiff and her husband, Ralf Jr., of Montgomery, Ala., Clara Cranmer and her husband, Dave, of Elizabethtown, Pa., Lorraine Stewart of Weymouth, Mass., Diane Natishak and her husband, David, of Peru, N.Y.; one sister, Irene Levesque of Bristol, Conn.; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The Willette family thanks the staff of Caribou Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home, especially Marilyn Pelletier, for the loving care given to their mother, and a special thank you to Geneva St. Pierre for her kindness and friendship which meant so much to Eva.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a vigil service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Emile Dube. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church, 100 Main St., Limestone, with the Rev. Emile Dube, celebrant. Interment will take place after the Mass at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the interment at St. Louis Parish reception area. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
