BANGOR – Francis W. Shaboski, 92, passed away Nov. 5, 2012, in Auburn, after a very long illness. He lived most of his life in Bangor where he was born April 15, 1920, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Ostafichuck) Shaboski.
Frank was a graduate of John Bapst High School. He served his country in the 8th Air Force in England during World War II. He was employed at New England Telephone Company in Bangor for 37 years, of which seven of the years he was in Rockland. Frank retired in 1984 where he continued his great love of the outdoors hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was a parishioner of St. John’s Catholic Church all of his life.
Frank lost the love of his life, his wife Lillian (McKenna) Shaboski in 1999. He is survived by his children, a son, Brian F. Shaboski of Bangor, a daughter, Brenda J. Shaboski of Bangor; and a son, Bill Shaboski of Raymond; two sisters, Amelia Shaboski and Sophie Wood of Bangor; a brother, Stanley Shaboski of Bangor.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor.
