BELFAST, Maine — With 27 percent of voting districts reporting at about midnight Tuesday, incumbent Democratic Waldo County Commissioner William Shorey led Republican challenger Andrew Cardinale, 1,055-554.
Cardinale is currently a dispatcher for the county’s emergency call center and lives in Swanville. Shorey lives in Searsport. The district includes those towns and Frankfort, Jackson, Monroe, Prospect, Stockton Springs and Winterport.
