FARMINGTON, Maine — Police said Friday they have identified three suspects involved in multiple vehicle burglaries at Franklin Memorial Hospital Tuesday night.
The trio were caught on a security camera at about 8 p.m. when several vehicles were broken into. Cash, cigarettes and electronic devices were taken. The total value of the stolen items came to more than $500.
The Farmington Police Department asked the public for assistance in catching the suspects, and the Sun Journal printed a photograph.
“Your readers produced several tips which helped form the direction of this investigation and has resulted in a significant amount of property being returned,” Sgt. Edward H. Hastings IV said in a news release. “This property will be returned to the victims and the juveniles involved will be referred to juvenile court.”
Police are not releasing the names of the juveniles.
“Our department would like to thank everyone for their support in this investigation,” Hastings said.

I will buy a one year subscription, and show and send in a receipt of proof, to the first newspaper in Maine that starts printing the names of juvenile criminals
“Police are not releasing the names of the juveniles.”
Major robbery spree by three individuals involving damage to property
theft and conspiracy.
They are walking around as if they are invisible and immune to real trouble.
What next from these thugs ??
But the real crime is we dont know who they are.
The law enforcement community and entire legal system here in Maine
will do all they can to protect these thieves.
But not give us, law abiding citizens , the same opportunity for protection.
Bald faced discrimination.
They could be out in the parking lot right now looking at your car.
But since these organized criminals are juveniles the rest of
society cant be notified/alerted.
We have been denied the right and ability to protect
ourselves from known public threats.
The “juvenile protection” thing is a real problem for all of us.
It is time for a change in the system.
I’ll digress on this one. Some dumb kids snatching things out of parked cars doesn’t quite rate as “a major crime spree.” Nor is it very likely they’re connected to any kind of gang or mob. More likely just very bored, looking for beer and weed money and behaving like idiots to impress each other. Poor parenting may apply as well.
