CARMEL, Maine — A heated argument between an intoxicated Carmel man and his live-in girlfriend led to the man’s arrest after he pushed her off a bed, according to police.
Alan Lund, 40, was charged with domestic violence assault and criminal threatening, both Class D misdemeanors, after an incident early Wednesday morning, according to Chief Deputy Troy Morton of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the Cook Road residence around 1:40 a.m. after it was reported the woman was threatening Lund and wanted him to leave, according to Morton.
Not only was Lund, who Morton said was intoxicated, making threats against the woman, but he pushed her off a bed and onto a floor, the chief deputy said.
Lund was placed under arrest and booked into the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Wednesday afternoon, Morton said.
The woman was not injured in the incident.

So what really happened — she hogged all the covers or he drank up the Allens?
You have to be very careful who you invite into your home, they may be hard to get rid of.
I wonder what sorts of mayhem might ensue when the
remote cant be found and ” my show is on !! ” ??
Gotta be one heckofa slow news day is al I can say.
Class D. Up to a year in jail for something so innocent as a shove off the bed. Absolutely silly. This isn’t a DV issue, or a police or legal issue. Its a two drunk people issue having a quarrel over something in the bedroom. Waste of police time and resources. Absurd.
Do you think if she had managed to “shove” him off the bed, she would have left the house in cuffs?
