BANGOR – Ann L. McGowan died Dec. 12, 2012, at a Bangor health care center. She was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Bangor, daughter of the late Corrin W. and Anna Lillian (Mooney) Prescott.
Ann lived most of her life in Bangor and was employed as a dental assistant to the late Dr. Charles H. King Jr., D.M.D.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria J. Smith of Bangor; brother, Robert D. Prescott and wife, Rita, of Westerly, R.I.; a special nephew, Raymond Smith of Bangor; other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and a very dear friend, Sylvia Washburn. Ann was predeceased by her husband, G. Stanley McGowan; and two brothers, Ronald B. Prescott, William D. Prescott and wife, Mildred.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A graveside service will be held noon Tuesday, Dec. 18, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Outer Hammond Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H.
