NEWPORT – Ronald A. Luce, 62, died unexpectedly Dec. 13, 2012, to be with his mother, father, brother and Heavenly Father. He was born April 1, 1950, in Bangor, a son of Carlton and Violet (Harding) Luce.
He had been employed as a truck driver for Davis Egg Farms, retiring in 2010. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Neva (Safford) Luce of Newport; two brothers, Randy and wife, Eleanor Luce, of Maryland and Thomas Luce of Newport; three sisters and their husbands, Irene and Patrick Haining of Stetson, Nancy and David Sgroi of Bangor and Frances and Hien Nguyen of Auburn; many nieces and nephews; and his cat, Hazel. He will be sadly missed by three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Friends may call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport. Graveside committal services will be held in the spring at Highland Cemetery, Carmel.
