BUCKSPORT – Mildred Louise (Kimball) Haskell, 89, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at a Bangor hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born Sept. 1, 1923, the youngest daughter of John C. and Lillian E. (Butler) Kimball.
On Nov. 15, 1942, she married the love of her life, Ulysses S. Haskell, and they were married for 68 years. Mildred was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. “She was a gift tied with multiple ribbons that we shared on life’s path.”
She is survived by her three loving daughters: the twins, Dianne Findlay and husband, Richard, and Donna Holmes and husband, Gordon, all of Bucksport, and Jean Bagley and husband, Daryl, of Orland; grandchildren, Damon and Ann Holmes, Daren and Margo Holmes, Deborah and Christopher Grindle, Donna and Aaron Sawyer, Jeannine and Keith Nason, all of Bucksport and Gregory and Wendy Bagley of Clifton; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Bagley of Clifton, Timothy and Kimberly Nason, Christopher and Cameron Grindle, all of Bucksport. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ulysses S. “Les” Haskell, Jan. 18, 2011; as well as two brothers and three sisters. The family would like to extend love and gratitude to Mildred’s granddaughter, Donna Sawyer.
At Mildred’s request, there will be no services at this time. A private graveside service will be held in the spring.
