GREENVILLE and DOVER-FOXCROFT – Idona H. Peachey, 90, died Dec. 15, 2012, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Feb. 1, 1922, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Alfred and Evelyn (Crosby) Harrington.
She lived for most of her life in Greenville and was a member of the Rebakah’s, and American Legion Auxiliary. Idona was also a member of Church of The Open Bible, where she taught Sunday school.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Peachey and his wife, Lucille, of Greenville, John Peachey and his wife, Cecile, of Sangerville, and Merle Peachey of Dover-Foxcroft; three daughters, Sandra Melia of Guilford, Arlene Marie Harmon and her husband, Ted, of Washington, and Linda Moran of Tampa, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Irene Harrington of Portland; a half sister, Barbara Hammond of Peru, Me.; 13 grandchildren, including a special grandson, Robert Peachey of Guilford; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald A.R. Peachey; an infant son, Robert E. Peachey; a brother, Alfred Harrington; and a sister, Patricia Bischik.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home, with Pastor David Ireland officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
