NEWPORT – Pat Turner, 68, died Dec. 16, 2012, in Brewer. She was born Dec. 30, 1943, in St. Albans, a daughter of Hugh and Clarissa (Getchell) Cooney.
She graduated from Nokomis Regional High and had worked at Flood’s General Store and Newport Citgo, and was currently employed at United Technology Center, Pittsfield. She enjoyed her lakefront home and especially enjoyed boating.
Pat is survived by two sons, Roland Fox of South Carolina and Scott Fox of Waterville; two daughters, Cindy and husband, Doug Turner, of East Newport, and Colleen and husband, Scott Price, of Newport; two brothers, George Cooney of St. Albans and Robert Getchell of Dexter; a sister, Helen and husband, Skip Gordon, of St. Albans; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends, especially Debbie and Mark Carter. She was loved by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at her Camp Benson Road residence. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written condolences at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
