CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine — Three juveniles were arrested and multiple others summoned in the wake of cookies laced with marijuana being sold at Cape Elizabeth High School earlier this month, according to police.
Capt. Brent Sinclair of the Cape Elizabeth Police Department said three boys, two 17-year olds and a 15-year old, are facing aggravating trafficking in scheduled drug charges, a Class C felony. The charge is aggravated due to the fact the incident occurred on school grounds.
All three boys were released to the custody of their parents, Sinclair said.
In addition to the three arrestees, three 15-year old boys, four 16-year old boys and Samuel Sherman, 18, were all summoned for possession of marijuana, according to Sinclair.

Whether you agree with the law or not, the fact remains that this is a felony and caused physical distress to some students who may or may not have been told about the marijuana. That distress was significant enough for several students to seek medical attention.

Exactly what harm was done to warrant a felony? So suspend them for a week and have them do 40hrs volunteering with drug addicts and everyone moves on.
