ELLSWORTH, Maine — A report of a domestic issue ended with two people being arrested on felony drug charges in Ellsworth.

Ellsworth police received a call for a domestic problem around 9:20 p.m. Jan. 17, according to the police report.

Officer Daniel P. Owens responded to a Dean Street location and after an investigation arrested Aaron Soucie, 34, of Ellsworth, and Samantha Oldham, 24, of Bar Harbor, on charges of unlawful possession of a scheduled drug, heroin.

Additional information was not available Monday because of the holiday, but an employee at Hancock County Jail said Soucie was still behind bars while Oldham had been released.

The charge facing the two alleged drug-possessors is a Class C offense, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
