WESTFIELD – Betty Jane Voisine, 79, passed away early Sunday morning Feb. 17, 2013, at her residence. She was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Linas and Inez (Haines) Billings.
Betty worked as a cook at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, and Presque Isle Rehab and Nursing Home.
She is survived by her husband, Delbert of Westfield; two sons, William Gay and Brian Gay of Waterbury, Conn.; three daughters, Joice Reese of New Orleans, Brenda Flanagin of Norridgewock, Robin Luker of Cranston, R.I.; a brother, Linas “Billy” Billings Jr. of Eagle Lake; three sisters, Avis Chapman of Caribou, Alice Cannon of Dover Foxcroft, and Alberta Viel of Presque Isle; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Richard Gay Jr.; a daughter, Cathy S. McFarland; two sisters, Dorothy Kinney and Shirley Rogers.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. A reception will be held in the funeral home reception area immediately after the service. There will be a gathering for family and friends in the spring.
