WOODBRIDGE, VA. – Lillian B. Hall, 85, went to be with the Lord, Feb. 15, 2013 after a long illness. She was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Corinna, the daughter of Ovila Paradis and Mattie (Voisine) Paradis.
Lillian grew up in Maine and moved to Connecticut in her early 20’s. There she married her husband, George Feb. 7, 1953. She loved to tell the story of how they first met and it was love at first sight. They worked in Connecticut until they retired and moved to Maine in 1992. They spent 51 years together until George’s passing in 2002. She then moved to Virginia in 2009 to be with her son and daughter. Lillian worked hard all her life and loved to spend weekends with her family cooking and having fun. She loved to go for rides in the country and sample new foods.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Melvin; and a son, James; brothers, Andrew, Daniel, Dennis and Edmund; also sisters, Emily Gagnon, Myrtle Spiess, Dora Caron, Sylvia Tozier and Lorraine Robshaw. She will be sadly missed by a brother, Paul of Lincoln; and her daughter, Becky; and son, John, both of Woodbridge Va. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jessica, George, Dina and Curtis; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Connecticut.
