PRESQUE ISLE – Joyce E. Thomas, 83, passed away early Friday morning March 1, 2013, at Aroostook Health Center, Mars Hill. She was born Jan. 8, 1930, in West Chapman, the daughter of William S. and Edith M. (Pendexter) Eaton.
She worked for Dr. Thomas Summerson as a receptionist for 12 years and then was employed by New England Telephone Co.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Landry and her husband, Bill, of Presque Isle; a brother, Richard Eaton and his wife, Arlita, of Fairfield; a grandson, Jeaudi Landry; and a great-grandson, Stephen Landry, both of Presque Isle. Joyce was predeceased by her husbands, Omar Braley and Frank Thomas; a son, Edward Braley; and a great-grandson, Jesse Landry.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Mark Carter officiating.
