PRINCETON – Patricia Shirleen Lieb, 74, passed away peacefully Feb. 28, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. Patricia was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Plainfield, N.J., to Frederick and Helen (Ridge) Carbray.
She grew up in Dunellen, N.J., where she attended local schools and graduated from Dunellen High School. In 1985 Pat moved to Maine, where she married Ed Lieb Dec. 7 of the following year. Pat and Ed made their home together in Princeton where they enjoyed the little things in life; she loved to go fishing and was an avid reader. She took many unforgettable vacations to Aruba with Ed. After raising her four children in New Jersey, Pat worked various jobs, but it was her love for reading that took her to her final and most enjoyable place of employment with the Princeton Library.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband of more than 26 years, Edward Lieb; four children, Shirleen Koenig and her husband, Scott, Robert Stutz and his wife, Tina, and Bunni Stutz, all of New Jersey, and Jennifer Lane of Baileyville; and five grandchildren, Heather and Ryan Koenig, Robert and Michelle Stutz, and Taylor Lane. She will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, with Father James Plourde officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to Princeton Library, P.O. Box 408, Princeton, ME 04668. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.maysfuneralhome.com.
