BANGOR, Maine — A man is in the hospital after he was found stabbed in Second Street Park early Thursday, according to police.
The 31-year-old man was found at about 4:30 a.m. When police arrived, he was holding his abdomen and told officers his wallet has been stolen, according to a news release from Sgt. Paul Edwards.
The victim was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center. Police did not release his name or his condition.
The suspect is a white male in his early 20s who was wearing jeans and a camouflage jacket with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath, according to the statement. The suspect also had a bloody lip and black eye as if he had been in a prior altercation.
