CARMEL – Frederick A. Thayer, 64, died after a long fight March 21, 2013, at a Bangor health care facility, with his family by his side. He was born Aug. 9, 1948, in Bangor, son of Kenneth and Ann (Hardison) Thayer.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ann; and sister, Marlene. Fred is survived by his father, Kenneth Thayer of Brewer; wife of 25 years, Vickie (Harris) Thayer of Carmel; sons, Lee Burke of Carmel, and Eric Burke and fiancée, Stephanie Roberts, and their sons, Tyler and Keegan, of Veazie; daughters, Kimberly and Kelly; brother, Frank Thayer of Hermon; sister, Melinda of Bangor; niece, Mackenzie and husband, Patrick Estey, of Carmel; nephew, Matthew Goodine and wife, April, of Brewer; many additional nieces and nephews.
