HAMPTON, N.H. – John E. Parsons, 69, died peacefully Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, N.H. He was born Dec. 11, 1943, in Camden, son of the late Charles and Irene (Dentremont) Parsons.
John was raised and spent his early adult hood in East Millinocket before moving to Hampton, N.H., in 1973. Mr. Parsons was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War. He later worked for Delta Airlines as an international captain before retiring in 2003.
Surviving family members include his wife of 45 years, Duska (Pray) Parsons of Hampton, N.H.; sons, Kenneth Parsons of Chandler, Ariz., and Thomas Parsons and wife, Maureen, of Chandler, Ariz.; daughter, Deanne Proper and husband, David, of Farmington, N.H.; brother, Terry Parsons of Placentia, Calif.; sister, Charlene Klingkert of Twisp, Wash.; granddaughter, Jade Proper of Farmington, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
