LITTLETON – Frances A. Carson, 84, died April 9, 2013, at Houlton Regional Hospital, Houlton. She was born March 17, 1929, in Dixmont, the daughter of Harold and Velma (Cullens) Sewell.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Douglas) Opdyke of Littleton and Jacksonville, Fla., Dedorah and Thomas Smart of Houlton and Robert Carson of Presque Isle; seven grandchildren, Heather, Aaron, Robert, Kevin, Michael, Julie and Linda; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Willis Sewell of Caribou; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Kendall; daughter, Brenda Fitts; and two sisters, Betty Anderson and Lydia Shaw.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date to be held at Littleton Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
