ST. DAVID – Ida Morin, 81, died peacefully surrounded by her family April 12, 2013, at a Madawaska health facility. She was born Feb. 27, 1932, in Clair, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Cyril and Alphosine (Charette) Pelletier.
She was a member of Daughters of Isabelle, and a Lioness, she worked as secretary for Morin Windows and Door Inc. She loved her crafts of plastic canvas and knitting. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leo James Morin, of St. David; five children, Jeanne and husband, Roger Dionne, of St. David, James Morin Jr. and wife, Vivian, of New York, Jackie Morin of North Carolina, Robert Morin and wife, Kim, of St. David and Father Eddy Morin of Madawaska; five grandchildren, Patricia and husband, Ryan Oliver, of Waterville, Jason Dionne and wife, Sheena, of New Hampshire, Daye and husband, Ryan Avila, of Florida and Chris and Mandie Morin, both of St. David; three great-grandchildren, R.J. Oliver, Cadence Oliver and Lily Dionne.
Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Agatha Catholic Church with Monsieur Dubois and the Rev. Jacques Lapoint officiating. Burial at Lower Cemetery in the spring.
