MILO – Adeline C. Ladd, 95, died April 15, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft, surrounded by her loving family. Adeline was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Portage Lake, the daughter of Frank and Marie (Picard) Gagnier.
A devoted homemaker, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier and Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Milo, for many years. She enjoyed the years she belonged to Milo Garden Club, spending winters in Florida and especially her daily walks.
Adeline is survived by three sons, Martin O’Connor and wife, Linda, Kevin O’Connor and wife, Sue, and Gerald Ladd Jr. and wife, Jeannie; nine grandchildren, Kathy, Thomas Jr., Maureen, Colleen, Michael, Ryan, Kristen, Jessica and Ashley; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Viola and Betty; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas O’Connor Sr. and Gerald Ladd Sr.; son, Thomas O’Connor; four brothers, Elmer, Larry, Elden and Clarence; and sister, Rella. Adeline’s family extends their gratitude to the staff at Hibbard Nursing Home for their support and care of Adeline.
A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, at St. Francis Xavier and Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Milo, with Fr. Kent Ouellette officiating.
