ORONO – Marjorie H. Murphy, 87, died April 18, 2013, after her battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 2, 1925, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Ola and Julia Hammond.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, William Murphy; and son Randall Murphy. Marjorie is survived by son, Robert Murphy and wife, Cathy; granddaughters, Melissa and Mariana; grandsons, Patrick and Michael; brother, Jairus Hammond; and family in Connecticut.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, at Our Lady of Wisdom Chapel, Newman Center, 83 College Ave., Orono, with the Rev. Wilfred Labbe, pastor, celebrant.
