GRAND FALLS, New Brunswick – Elmer “Blue” Belanger, 82, husband of Irene Labreck, passed away April 22, 2013, at a local hospital. He was a son of the late Arthur Sr. and Laura (Cote) Belanger.
He is survived by his wife; seven children, Sheryl Parent and Stephen of Van Buren, Patricia Oczwoski of Middletown, R.I., Jeffrey and Marlene of Bridgeport, Conn., Wayne and Susan of Augusta, Thomas and Telscha of Avon, Conn., Nathalie Pelletier and Guy Page of Elmvale, Ontario, and Kenny and Ashley of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; 14 grandchildren, Scott, Jason, Morgan, Michelle, Justin, Joshua, Samantha, Barbara, Cody, Jessy, Emily, Elijaah, Maddison and Abigail; great-granddaughter, Maizilyn Sky; brothers, Romeo “Micky” and Joyce and Joseph and Mary Lou of Florida; four sisters, Carmelita Dionne of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Nora LeBel and Adrien Lagassie of Bristol, Conn., Yvonne Bernier and René of Drummond and Lucille Albert and Onil of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; brother-in-law, Arthur Walker; sisters-in-law, Odette, Irene and Marie-Anne Belanger; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by granddaughter, Genny Parent; son-in-law, Stanley Oczwoski; brothers, Lucien, Vivan, Adrien, Arthur Jr. and Martin; and sister, Liliane.
Visiting hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, and 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls, New Brunswick. His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Assumption Church, Grand Falls, New Brunswick, with interment at Hamlin. Donations to Extra-Mural Hospital program would be appreciated.
