EAGLE LAKE and FORT KENT – Omer Dalton Boucher, 65, died peacefully April 23, 2013 at his residence in Eagle Lake. He was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Fort Kent, the son of Ludger Sr. and Emilia (LaFerriere) Boucher.
Dalton worked 26 years as a foreman for Lane Construction. He was a life time member of 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Presque Isle. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing and hunting. He truly enjoyed time with family and friends, great attitude towards life, always joking and putting a smile on people’s faces would make his day. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Anna Jeanne Charette Boucher of Eagle Lake; his son, Dalton Boucher Jr. and his wife, Peggy Sue; one grandson, Cody James Boucher; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Grace Boucher, all of Presque Isle; seven brothers, Eddie and wife, Angie, Leon and wife, Bertha, and Don and wife, Marie, all of Connecticut, Roger of Eagle Lake, Wallace and wife, Camilla, Maurice and wife, Lisa, all of Fort Kent, Robert and wife, Bernadette, of Clair, New Brunswick; and two sisters, Anita and husband, Carl Stella, Rita and husband, Brian Hebert, all of Connecticut. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Emile, Lewis, Leonard and Wilmer.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial with full Fourth degree honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Committal service will be at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the American Lung Association of Maine, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
