PRESQUE ISLE – Robert J. McIntosh, 70, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1942, in Presque Isle, the son of Robert and Vera B. (Jones) McIntosh.
Robert “Jimmy” served in the U.S. Army as a cook on a tug boat in Newfoundland. He worked as a poly operator at McCain Foods for a number of years. Jimmy enjoyed sports including high school basketball, loved to work in his garden and cook.
He is survived by two brothers, Donald McIntosh of Presque Isle, and Alan MacIntosh and his wife, Rosa, of Westfield; two sisters, Jean St. Peter of Caribou and Margaret “Peggy” McIntosh of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Virginia (Elliot) McIntosh; and brother, Roger McIntosh.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com.
