MERRILL – Ora E. Hardy, 87, died unexpectedly May 3, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 12, 1925, in Merrill, the son of Herbert Lincoln and Lucy Burke Hardy.
Ora spent many years in the construction business and for the past 30 years he spent winters in Ocala Fla., where he enjoyed shuffleboard, playing cards and bingo games.
He is survived by two brothers, Herbert and wife, Janet, of Merrill and Dana and wife, Mary, of Dyer Brook. Ora was predeceased by his parents; brother, Ansil “Hank”; and his partner for 49 years, Beryl “Brownie” Rockwell.
