RANGELEY, Maine — Recovery operations for the bodies of two snowmobilers who were reported missing in December will likely resume Tuesday, officials said.

Doug Rafferty, Public Information Director for the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, said game wardens will spend Monday reviewing data, but hope to be back on Rangeley Lake Tuesday.

Windy conditions prevented wardens from searching Monday, Rafferty said.

On Friday, sonar equipment was utilized to find the body of Glenn Henderson, 43, of Sabattus. Two other men, John Spencer, 41, of Litchfield and Kenneth Henderson, 40, of China, remain missing and have been since New Year’s Eve when their snowmobiles plunged into the lake.

Rafferty said windy conditions “plays havoc with the sonar” equipment.

No searching activities occurred during the weekend, Rafferty added.
