INDIAN TOWNSHIP – Rhonda Rose Sabattus, 31, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. Rhonda was born Aug. 10, 1981, in Calais.
She attended Indian Township schools and Lee Academy. Rhonda enjoyed fishing, Bingo, four-wheeling, being around friends, but above all, spending time with her children.
She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Sabattus; and brother, George Sabattus. Surviving is her two children, Nipon and Kevin “Grizz” Sabattus; mothers, Mae Sabattus and Ada Sue Tomah; grandmother, Marjorie LaCoote; fiancé, Chris Tomah; four sisters, Karen, Irene and fiancé, Stephen, Mary and husband, Richard, and Elona; 10 brothers, Walter, Alex, Nathan, Trevor, Clint, Richard, Patrick, Karl, Stephen and Frank; godparents, Nancy Polches and Paul Tomah; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special cousins and friends, Mary Sockabasin and Krystal Best; four canine companions, Buddy, Nitap, Muwin and Qus; and two feline companions, Pebbles and Espon.
Visiting hours will be held noon Monday, May 20, until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at her mother’s home, 466 Peter Dana Point Road, Indian Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, at St. Ann R.C. Church, Peter Dana Point, by Fr. James Plourde. Burial will be afterward at Tribal Cemetery.
