GOULDSBORO – Pauline Erma “Polly” Perry passed away peacefully June 11, 2013 at Mountain Vista, Franklin. She was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Steuben, the daughter of Ernest Raymond Dyer and Fidelia Kathleen (Pinkham) Hanington.
She married Forrest Emerson “Sonny” Perry, April 7, 1951. Polly worked hard for her family. She made nets, packed fish and was laundress at Milbridge Nursing Home. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, knitting and yard sales. She was also an avid reader. Polly loved her family “warts and all” and was her sister, Loretta’s best friend. She was always the one that everyone called when something happened and she always came through. She will be missed by many.
Polly is survived by her son, Steven F. Perry and his wife, Catherine, of Jonesport; and her daughter, Kathy Lynn Caler and her husband, Delbert, of Harrington; grandchildren James F. Perry and his wife, Ann, and their children, Maggie, Mallory and Malcolm of Gouldsboro, Christopher C. Perry of Jonesport and Forrest W. Caler of Harrington and his children, Breonna and Raven. She is also survived by her brothers, George R. Hanington of Steuben and Dale E. Hanington and his wife, Jean, of Benton; sisters, Loretta Sutherland and her husband, John, of Sullivan and Lois Peres of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1993 and her sister, Phyllis Woods.
A committal service will be held at Steuben Village Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Milbridge.
