VAN BUREN – Emerilda M. Levesque, 82, died June 20, 2013, at her home. She was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Van Buren, daughter of Ernest and Delia Michaud.
She was a salesperson and became manager with former J.J. Newberry Store, Van Buren, for many years.
Emerilda is survived by six sons, Ernest Levesque, Ralph Levesque and wife, Linda, Paul Levesque and wife, Sandy, Roger Levesque, and Ned Levesque and wife, Patty, all of Van Buren, and Wayne Levesque and companion, Rina Theriault, of St. Leonard; two daughters, Donna Pinette and husband, Joseph, of Van Buren and Noella Levesque of Grand Isle; stepsister, Mona Cyr of Windsor Locks, Conn.; 18 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph L. Levesque in 1983; daughter, Louise Beaulieu in 2007; a sister; and a stepsister.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
