DEXTER and SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Gordon Charles “Chuckie” Weaver, 52, of Springfield, Mass., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 30, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 5, 1960, in Dexter.
He loved Dexter and spent most of his teenage years here, and graduated from Dexter Regional High School, class of 1979. He also played varsity football his junior and senior year.
He was the beloved son of Dorothy (Clukey) Starzyk and stepfather, Walter Starzyk, both of Springfield, Mass. A loving and devoted father of two daughters and one grandson, Tiffanie Weaver, and Courtney Weaver and son, Noah, all of Springfield, Mass. He leaves three brothers and sisters, Christine (Weaver) Reardon and husband, John, of Sandy Hook, Conn., David Weaver and wife, Becky, of Springfield, Mass., and Scott Weaver and wife, Shannon, of South Hadley, Mass. He is also survived by his grandmother, Barbara Clukey of Dexter. Chuckie had five aunts and uncles, Elaine Kitrosser and husband, Steve, of San Jose, Calif., Carlton Clukey, Stephen Clukey, Donald Clukey and wife, Teresa, and Laurel Curtis and husband, Paul, all of Dexter. He had three special nieces and nephews, Taylor Reardon and John Anthony Reardon, both of Sandy Hook, Conn., and Stephanie Weaver of Springfield, Mass. Chuckie was predeceased by his special grandfather, Anthony J. Clukey “Dad.”
