FAIRFIELD, Maine — A local man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly entering a residence and using knives to threaten the people inside.

Roland David Grose, 53, of Fairfield entered a home on Crane Drive with a knife in each hand, said Fairfield police Detective Sgt. Kingston Paul.

“He threatened to slice them up,” Paul said on Thursday afternoon. The altercation arose “from a dispute earlier in the evening.”

The arresting officer said Grose was intoxicated when he made the threats, said Paul. Police received the call at 9:40 p.m.

Grose was charged with aggravated reckless conduct, a Class B crime that carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years and a fine up to $20,000.

He was taken to Somerset County Jail in Madison, where he remained on Thursday. His bail is set at $500.
