WALTHAM, MASS. – Stephen D. Hawkins Sr. formerly of Islamorada, Fla., and Bangor passed away Aug. 9, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. He served in the U.S Army in Vietnam.
He was the beloved son of Margaret H. Hawkins and the late Selby Hawkins Jr., of Waltham, Mass. Also, loving father of Stephen D. Hawkins Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Oakdale, Conn., Stacy Tortorella and her husband, Daniel, of Winslow and Scott Hawkins of Leominster, Mass. A dear Papa Steve of Kelsea, Morgann and Madyson Tortorella and Ethan and Amelia Hawkins. Loving brother of Roberta Hawkins of Waltham, Mass. Former husband of Pamela M. Hawkins of Maynard, Mass. And devoted fiancé of the late Holly Kimball of Islamorada, Fla.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Mount Auburn Hospital, care of Oncology Dept., 330 Mt.
