CLINTON – Joseph A. Libby passed away on July 31, 2013, peacefully in his sleep at the age of 64. He had been successfully battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 20 years when the addition of Parkinson’s Disease become too much.
“Joe” was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Bangor, the son of the late Helen and Irven Libby of Hampden.
He was a great father and friend. Anyone in need could count on him being there. He loved reading, woodworking, playing games, fishing, hunting and golfing.
Joe is survived by his son, Jared Libby; his grandchildren, Grace and Owen Libby; his siblings, Patricia (Libby) Tibbetts, Thomas Libby and Jack Libby; and his nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to his close friends, Brenda Cramer, who visited with him regularly for over 30 years, and George “Terry” Theriault, who went as far as to help him move across the country to Reno, Nev., to be close to his son and grandchildren.
