DEXTER – Marguerite (Fournier) Laflamme, 102, wife of the late Aurele J. Laflamme, passed away Aug. 17, 2013, at a Dexter nursing home. She was born Oct. 17, 1910, at Sainte Claire, Quebec, a daughter of Joseph and Marie Fournier. Marguerite was the 15th child of 16 children.
She was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. She lived on a dairy farm in Exeter with her husband for many years. While on the farm, she enjoyed their vegetable garden canning, and cooking. They moved to Dexter after their retirement. She was the proud recipient of the Boston Post Cane and proud of her book, Memories of Marguerite Laflamme.
Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Helena Ronco and husband, Thomas, of Dexter; two granddaughters, Suzanne Orcutt and husband, Michael, of Dexter and Sandra Deyette and husband, Greg, of Epping, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Orcutt of Kings Point, N.Y., and Matthew and Sara Orcutt of Dexter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Father Paul Murray officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
