ROCKLAND, Maine — A fourth person has entered the race for two city council seats.
Anne Haggar, a former state employee, took out nomination papers Thursday.
Haggar ran for the council in 2006 and collected 391 votes to finish third in a three-way race, a year in which Brian Harden was re-elected.
Thus far, incumbent Councilor Larry Pritchett said he will seek a second term. Also taking out papers are former Mayor Hal Perry and Harbor Management Commission member Louise MacLellan-Ruf. Incumbent Mayor Will Clayton is not seeking re-election.
The top two finishers will win the seats.
The deadline for filing nomination papers is Sept. 23 to make the Nov. 5 ballot.
In the election for two Regional School Unit 13 seats available in Rockland, incumbents William Pearce and Donald Robishaw Jr. have taken out papers in a bid to serve another term.
