OHIO and LIMESTONE – Ralph Waldo Mitchell, 84, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at Highland District Hospital, Hillsboro, Ohio. He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Ollie, Iowa, the son of the late Lloyd and Addie (Cavin) Mitchell.
He was a veteran and retired Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force and had served during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by four children, David Scott Mitchell and his wife, Lougenia, of Las Cruces, N.M., Mitch Mitchell and his wife, Cindy, of New York, Wayne Mitchell and his wife, Holly, of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Lori Goldsmith and her husband, Eric, of Winchester, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Janice Mitchell of Bangor; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Lowe and Barbara Mitchell, both of Iowa; a brother, Gilbert Mitchell of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Gaetane (Johndro) Mitchell on Oct. 24, 2007; a son, Robert Dana Mitchell; and an infant son, Michael Mitchell.
