LINCOLN – Evelyn N. Bowker, 91, wife of the late Stanley Bowker Sr., died Aug. 28, 2013, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 18, 1922, in Lincoln, the daughter of Walter and Eula (McKinney) Neal.
Evelyn enjoyed camping with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Christmas was her favorite time of year.
She is survived by a son, Stanley Bowker Jr. and his wife, Sharon; two brothers, Dalton Neal and Carolyn and Kenneth Neal and Florence; two grandchildren, Stanley Bowker III and his wife, Marie, and their children, Allyson and Justin, and Shannon Elliot and her husband, Dwayne, and their children, Nicholas, Christopher and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Stanley Bowker Sr., she was predeceased by a sister, Edith Flagg and her husband, Bill.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Lincoln United Methodist Church Building Fund. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
