PHOENIX, ARIZ. – Joyce Gray Cummings was born in Houlton April 5, 1931. Joyce attended the University of Maine at Farmington and graduated with a teaching degree.
She loved her school children and they loved her back. She loved her family and they loved her back. She loved God and he now welcomes her back. Joyce died peacefully May 31, 2013, in a home of angels that cared for her during her last 3 years of life due to Alzheimer’s. She enriched the lives of so many and is loved and missed by all that knew her.
A family gathering will be held to celebrate her life in Bangor, Maine September 1st. A memorial service will be held September 24th at the Arizona Community Church in Chandler at 11 a.m.
