PRESQUE ISLE – Jack J. Field, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in Presque Isle. He was born March, 31, 1929, in Bangor, son of Alfred and Mabel (Sherwood) Field.
He grew up in Easton and graduated from Easton High School. Jack and his wife of 59 years, Leola (Craig), lived in Torrington, Conn., Mars Hill and Presque Isle. He worked at McCain Foods as an electrician, and is most fondly remembered as a vacuum cleaner salesman and repair person. Jack was a member of the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Leola of Presque Isle; three children, Steven Field of Wilton, N.H., Linda Condon and her husband, Todd, of Talkeetna, Alaska, and Gail Thibault and her husband, Owen, of West Chapman; two sisters, Patience Clark of Easton, and June Field of Fallbrook, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, Amy, Heather, Amanda, Megan, and Ruben Condon, and Wesley and Quinn Thibault. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Alfred, Herald, and Jim Field; and a sister, Anna Livingston.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Kings Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill, with the Rev. Kenneth Phelps officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncangraves.com.
