CARIBOU – Rosaire R. Devost, 84, died Sept. 14, 2013, in Caribou. He was born Feb. 26, 1929, in St. Anne N.B., Canada, the son of the late Mack and Helene (Clavette) Devost.
He married Sady Martin in 1951. Mr. Devost was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was also a longtime Fourth Degree member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus. He was employed by the Maine Department of Transportation, retiring as superintendent of the Caribou Division, after 32 years of service.
Surviving in addition to his wife of over 62 years, Sady of Caribou, is his son, Dean Devost of Colorado; his two daughters, Barbara Tarbox and husband, Donald Jr., of Washburn and Linda Bercht of Caribou; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; a former son-in-law, Warren Harris; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Devost was predeceased by six brothers and sisters and two grandchildren.
