MILLINOCKET – Beatrice “Nannie” DiCentes, 89, wife of the late Edward “Bing” DiCentes, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, in Millinocket.  She was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Millinocket, the daughter of Thomas and Amelia (Carney) DeVoe.
Beatrice was a lifelong resident of Millinocket and was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish.
She is survived by her son, Edward “Bingo” DiCentes and his wife, Geraldine, of Sherman; her daughter, Jeanie Levesque and her husband, David, of Millinocket, with whom she resided at the time of her death; eight grandchildren, Leah Gordon, Brian Levesque, Janice Dudley, Gail Bergeron, Jonathan DiCentes, Peter DiCentes, David DiCentes, and Andrew DiCentes; 13 great-grandchildren, Molly Gordon, Ellie Gordon, Levie Levesque, Mackenzie Levesque, Elijah Levesque, Lyla Levesque, Wyatt Levesque,  Bethany Miles, Katelyn Dudley, Jacob Bergeron, Makenzy DiCentes, Madelyn DiCentes, and Hadley DiCentes; a great-great-grandson, Jack Miles; four sisters-in-law, Libby DiCentes, Winifred Gagnier, Nancy Vachon and her husband, Bob, and Donna Whitehouse and her husband, Bob; a brother-in-law, Clem D’Angelo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Beatrice was predeceased by ten siblings, Eva, Florence, Janette, Bertha, Nadine, Rita, Rod, “Jun” Alton, Donald, and Lionel.
Jeanie and David would like to thank Debbie Plourde, Robin Knowlton, Shirley and David Oliver, Bill and Carol Daniel, and Sheila Baker for their help over the past few years with the care of Beatrice.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Liturgy of the Word Service and Communion will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with Deacon Danny Watson presider.
